For Staff, Students, Alumni

The usages of University Identity Cards (Smart Cards) are managed by the Computing Services Centre. Currently, the Smart Cards are used as the primary identification document for accessing and using different facilities physically on campus such as campus access, library access, sports facilities, and clinical services.
In 2018, the University has embarked on a project to upgrade the dated Identity Card chip to a newer and more secured card chip which involved replacement of cards and upgrade of infrastructure (including access control readers, turnstile readers, handheld readers, and USB readers). The replacement of all staff cards is currently in-progress and expected to complete by end of 2020. For Student Identity Cards, students will keep using the previous generation cards until their graduation. Current Identity Card issuing offices include:
Student Identity Cards
Academic Regulations and Records Office (ARRO)
Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies (SGS)
School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE)
Staff Identity Cards (Staff Cards, Family Cards, Courtesy Cards, etc)
